Arnold Edward Meyers, age 82, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on January 11, 1943, Arnold graduated from Fairmont High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army. Following his military service, Arnold dedicated many years to the Dayton Fire Department, where he served his community with bravery and pride and retired as a Lieutenant.

He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Victoria, for 33 years. After both retiring, they made their home in Bradenton, Florida, at Tara Golf and Country Club, where they enjoyed the warmth of the sun and the company of friends and family.

Arnie, affectionately known to many, was a man of great kindness, quick wit, and a generous heart. He had a deep love for golf, fishing, Ohio State Football, UD Basketball, and boating on Grand Lake St. Mary’s. In recent years, his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren, especially swimming with them in the pool.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Martha Meyers, and his sister, Arnette Davis.

Arnold is survived by his loving wife, Victoria; his son, Zachary Carr (Stacey); his daughter, Tricia Wilbanks (Troy); his cherished grandchildren, Lucy, Cody, Ellie, and Isabelle; and his sister, Martha Samble.

A small gathering of close friends and family will be held at a later date to celebrate Arnold’s life and legacy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
