Barbara Jean Staat

STAAT, Barbara “Jean”, of Centerville, OH, formerly of Cincinnati, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019. She was born to the late William C. and Dorothy (nee Fry) Epling on June 28, 1925 in Princeton, W.V.

Jean was formerly a member of St. Saviour Catholic Church in Rossmoyne, OH. However, she was most recently a member of Grace Lutheran Community. She enjoyed line dancing, big band music and spending time with family and friends. Jean worked for Pogues for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Staat; sister, Mavis Dick and brother, William Epling. Jean is survived by daughter, Beverly McCormick; grandchildren, Mark (Shelley) Unocic and Kim (Rick) Goins; great-grandchildren, Travis and Austin Unocic, Ryan and Brady Goins, and her furry family, Zelda and Lacey.

The family will greet friends from 3:00pm-5:00pm on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering with a service to follow at 5:00pm. A private burial will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Cincinnati.
