Barbara A. Shroder

SHRODER, Barbara A., age 87, of Springboro, OH, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026. Barbara was born on November 29, 1938, to the late John and Elizabeth Sharritts, in Kokomo, IN. At a young age her family moved to Dayton where she graduated from Miamisburg High School, where she graduated 2nd in her class. Following her graduation Barbara began her long career in banking at Farmers and Merchants Bank in Miamisburg, and later Bank One in Oakwood, OH. Above all she enjoyed all the time she spent with her family and was a doting grandmother. Barbara’s loving and dedicated spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Shroder; and brother, Raymond Sharritts.

Barbara is survived by her son, Don (Tina) McLaughlin; step-children, Chanda Dicke, Bob (Katy) Shroder, Ron (Sue) Shroder, and Steve (Kim) Shroder; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Monday, January 12, 2026 at David’s Cemetery, 4600 Mad River Rd. Kettering, OH 45429. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
