Bessie Ellis

ELLIS, Bessie (Betty), age 83, of Kettering died Friday, August 25, 2006 at Heartland of Centerville. Born September 13, 1922 in Birmingham, AL to Robert and Laura Russell. Betty was a member of VFW 9927, American Legion 598, and Amvets 24. She retired in 1985 from Delco Products after 17 years of service. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband Arthur M. Ellis, and son Arthur M. Ellis, Jr. She is survived by her sons Thomas R. (Mary Jo) and Robert V. (Marilyn); daughters Beverly Heinisch and Kathy Allen, all of Kettering; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and her brother, Joseph Russell of Bull Head City, AZ. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 31 at Woodland Mausoleum, 118 Woodland Dr., Dayton. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 30 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Heart Association, PO Box 182039, Dept. 013, Columbus, OH 43218-2039.
