Bettie Johnson

JOHNSON, Bettie, age 94, formerly of Centerville, OH passed away on May 4, 2017 in Estill, SC. Bettie was born on October 2, 1922 to Walter & Elsie Miller. She loved to bake, entertain, but most of all her heart was in raising her family. Early in her life she worked for her father at Linden Tool and Dye. She volunteered for many activities at her children's schools in Centerville. She had a great passion for animals, adopting several pets throughout her life. Everyone that met Bettie liked her. She always had a smile and kind words, putting others before herself. Bettie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Chad" Johnson; son, Edward 'Bill" Johnson; sister, Erline Schenck; and brother, Norman "Bud" Miller. Bettie is survived by daughter, Pamela (David) Didier of SC; grandchildren, Gregory (Terry) Didier, Jeffery (Cory) Didier, Edward Robert (Gini) Johnson; Christina Johnson; great-grandchildren, Griffin, Blair, Dylan, and TJ; and several nieces & nephews. Services will be held at 11AM on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
