Betty Lautzenheiser

Betty Jean Lautzenheiser, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on September 1, 1932, in San Antonio, Texas, Betty touched the hearts of everyone who knew her with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit.A long-time resident of St. Leonard's in Centerville, Ohio, Betty was formerly of West Carrollton. Betty was passionate about her work, and her presence always brightened the days of those around her.Family was the cornerstone of Betty's life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edgar Dean Lautzenheiser, Sr. Betty is survived by her devoted daughter, Sandi (Dan) Schlegel of Washington Township; her son, Dean (Danielle) Lautzenheiser of Lewis Center; as well as seven treasured grandchildren and six adored great-grandchildren. She was also a loving mother-in-law to Jim Sirbaugh from Tennessee.Faith was an essential part of Betty's life, and she was deeply involved in her church community, finding solace and strength in her spiritual connections.The family will announce funeral services in the coming days, inviting all who knew and loved Betty to join in a celebration of her life, reflecting on the beautiful memories she created and the indelible mark she left on their hearts.Betty will be cherished and remembered for her compassion, laughter, and spirit of generosity. She will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved. Betty was preceded in death by: her husband, Edgar Lautzenheiser, parents, Frank and Angela Simon and her daughter, Susan M. Sirbaugh.
