KLOPSCH, Brandon Norbert, age 37, of Dayton, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2025. A beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and friend, Brandon leaves behind a legacy of love for his family and friends, and an eagerness to always lend a hand to others.
Brandon is survived by his father, Norbert Klopsch (Debbie); stepfather Mark Brunn; sister, Brooke Reed (Jeremy); grandparents, Hans Klopsch and Janice Birman; and four nephews, Andrew, Ashton, Jordan and Lucas whom he adored beyond words. He was preceded in death by his mother Diane Birman Brunn, his grandmother Antje Klopsch, and his grandfather & kindred spirit, Robert Birman. He also leaves behind his dear canine companion, Elliot, who never left his side.
Brandon was born at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and was raised in Oakwood, Ohio. He was a standout athlete in both basketball and golf, earning varsity letters in multiple years in both sports. His competitive spirit and natural talent both on the court and on the green were only matched by his intelligence, quiet sense of humor and generous heart. He went on to attend The Ohio State University and enjoyed working at Muirfield Village Golf Club where he occasionally rubbed elbows with some golf greats, which was always exciting for him.
Brandon was known for his quick wit, sharp mind, love of a good time with buddies, eclectic taste in music, and exceptional knowledge of sports. Whether it was professional football, basketball or baseball, college sports or fantasy leagues, Brandon was all-in. He also thoroughly enjoyed challenging picture puzzles, and shared a mutual love of spirited board game nights and card games with his mother.
Brandon especially loved spending time with his nephews, whether shooting hoops in the driveway or alley, or tossing a football in the yard, or attending their various team sporting events. He was cherished by many friends and work colleagues and was always ready for a game or a laugh. Brandon had a big heart, a generous soul, and a genuine desire to see the best in others.
He shared a mutual love of Pink Floyd and classic rock with his father. Music, like everything in Brandon’s life, was personal, heartfelt, and full of meaning.
Brandon will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered for his selfless nature, love of family, and the joy he brought to so many lives. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
In honor of Brandon’s life and the things he cared deeply about, donations may be made in his name to SICSA Pet Adoption & Wellness Center or the YMCA Boys Club of Dayton.
