BARTLETT, Brett, age 24 of Kettering, OH, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. Brett was the biggest cheerleader you may or may not have had the pleasure of getting to know. She was always positive and supportive of friends and family, especially of anyone in the arts. Brett had a favorite art form in spoken word and a habit of being a bookworm. She collected as many books as possible, only to be limited by her allowance. There were two paths Brett was heading down. One of the artist, the other of a career as a Child Life Specialist. Brett was completing her degree of Women’s and Gender Studies the University of Dayton to assist her with the professional path. During her time in school, she was part of young democrats and took pride in being a social justice warrior. One thing people might not know is she was the person behind the mask known as Rudy Flyer, the University of Dayton mascot. Another thing she was most known for was being a member of Dayton Poetry Slam. Donations are encouraged in lieu of flowers to https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/DaytonPoetrySlam. Last but not least, this obituary would not be complete without mentioning her love for the happiest place on Earth, Disney World. It would be encouraged to take time with your family and share a moment watching your favorite Disney movie. She is survived by her parents, Gay Lynn and Preston Bartlett; brother, Ryan (Kathryn) Bartlett; sister Evan (Alex) Zaremba; niece, Keeley; and many extended family members, as well as friends. A visitation will be held at noon on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Kettering, 3939 Swigart Rd, Beavercreek. A memorial service will follow at 1:00PM.
