Carol Anne Brinkman

April 15, 1948 — September 27, 2025

Dayton

Carol Anne Brinkman, age 77 of Dayton, OH, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents Dr. Edward and Evelyn Millonig and her brother, John Millonig.

As a lifelong resident of Dayton, Carol dedicated herself to serving others. She generously gave her time and energy to fundraisers and events, including St. Charles Catholic Church, Alter High School, KEY Swim Team, and many Holiday at Home gatherings. Her commitment to the community touched many lives that has left a lasting impact.

Carol’s professional journey took her farther than her hometown. She began her career as a flight attendant, later becoming an office manager for an OB/GYN practice. She also served as the Food Service Director at Camp Shand in Pennsylvania, and most recently was the CFO of Chicago Gyros and Dogs.

Carol found many joys in life – from gathering with family during the holidays to cheering for her beloved UD Flyers and Ohio State Buckeyes. In the spring, she would carefully craft her March Madness brackets. Carol cherished any time spent out in the sun, the pool or the shore, especially on family trips. Above all, Carol’s adoration resided with her family. She was a devoted wife of 54 years and a proud mother, but her greatest blessings came later in life when she became a grandma. Her legacy is one of love and commitment. She will be missed dearly.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Gary Brinkman; children: Todd (Sara) Brinkman, Travis (Lauren) Brinkman, and Traci (Adam) Jackson; eight cherished grandchildren: Fern & Rose Brinkman, Kolby & Crosby Brinkman, and Knox, Tatum, Nash & Palmer Jackson.

A visitation will be held from 9:30am-10:30 am Wednesday October 8th 2025 with a Memorial Mass to follow at St Charles Borromeo Parish (4500 Ackerman Blvd, Dayton Ohio 45429). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carol Brinkman camper scholarship fund at Camp Kern, a place where she spent many summers as a child, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
