Carolyn Joyce Baudendistel

BAUDENDISTEL, Carolyn Joyce, age 71, of Dayton, formerly of Lakeview, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Carolyn was born on December 16, 1950, to the late Russell Price Sr. and Betty (Moon) Price, in Dayton. She graduated from Wayne, H.S., class of 1969, before starting her family later that year. Carolyn was a dedicated mother to three children, often taking an active part in her children’s’ lives, whether it was taking them to their ball games or preparing one of her famous home-cooked meals. As her children got older Carolyn, started her career in retail management, shortly after meeting the love of her life and husband, Richard Baudendistel. Together they moved to Indian Lake, where they resided for twenty years, and enjoyed all the lake had to offer. Carolyn was well known for her time working at the Tilton Hilton, where she made many lifelong friends and memories. Carolyn was a member of F.O.E Lodge #3615 and Moose Lodge #1533. She was a lifelong sports fan, and was always cheering for the Buckeyes, Browns, and Reds. More than anything else Carolyn was a loving and caring Mother and Wife, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her son, Joseph Roberts; brother, Russel Price Jr.; aunt, Iris Perry; and brother-in-law, Jerry Fields.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of over 32 years, Richard; sons Jack (Rita) Roberts and Jason (Roger Zimmerman) Roberts; sister, Ann Fields; step-children, Melissa Wolski, Robb Baudendistel, and Mark Baudendistel; grandchild, Jack (Shane Plassenthal) Roberts III; aunt, Dardenella Reyes (nee Moon); father of her children, Jack Roberts Sr.; and other extended family and friends.

Family will greet friends from 3-5pm, on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH 45429, with a service to be held following at 5pm. A livestream will be available via Routsong’s YouTube channel. Burial at Forest Hills Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, or the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Carolyn’s family would like to thank Shirley and Joyce for their unwavering support over the past year.
