Cassie Wagner

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Cassie Oneida Wagner, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Cassie was born on December 28, 1941, in Williamson WV, and she peacefully departed on March 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Cassie was known for her unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She had many wonderful years spent traveling with her husband John, and at home her vivacious spirit kept her close to many friends. She was an indelible member of the American Legion, where she served for many years.

Cassie's playful spirit and quick wit stayed with her throughout her life. As likely to be found cooking a bountiful Christmas dinner as journeying to the Casino, she was the grand dame of her tight-knit family.

A memorial service will be held on May 16, 2026, at the Kettering American Legion Post 598, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Cassie's life and legacy. Doors open at 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service beginning at 1:30 PM. As we remember Cassie, let us hold onto the joyful memories we created with her, the laughter shared, and the love that she so freely gave. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those she left behind. Cassie was preceded in death by her husband, John Wagner, and son, Greg Beckett.
