Christopher J. Skidmore

SKIDMORE, Christopher J., age 49, of Dayton, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022. Chris was born March 9, 1973 in Richmond, VA to Frank and Sue Skidmore. Deeply spiritual, Chris was rooted in his faith. He was a person who loved hard and deeply, passing no judgment to anyone. Chris was welcoming to all, opening his home up to friends and family in need. He worked for many years as a plumber, taking pride and joy in the work he did. He could often be found riding his motorcycle, fishing, or kayaking. He was a big movie buff, often quoting various movie lines from his favorite films. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Chris is preceded in death by his twin sister, Christina Lane, his sister-in-law, Stacie Hites and his uncles, Gil King, Don Penney, and John Skidmore. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Mackenzie Skidmore; parents, Sue and Frank Skidmore; brothers, Layne and Frank; aunts, Darlene and Sherry; uncle, Mike; sister-in-law, Tonya; nieces, Sydney, Reagan, and Courtney; nephews, Sean, Corey, Mitchell, and Matthew; cousins, Hollie, Shellie, and Matthew; and lifelong friend Andy. Family will greet friends from 4:00pm-6:00pm Wednesday, November 30 at Routsong Funeral Home, Centerville, with Celebration of Life services beginning at 6:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made in Chris’s name to the American Heart Association.
