RHODUS, Cledith “Clee” May, age 87, of Centerville, OH passed away in Sunset, South Carolina on November 10, 2025. She was born on April 27, 1938 in West Virginia.
Clee earned a Master’s in Education from Wayne State University.
A lifelong resident of Centerville, Clee and her husband Rick moved to Centerville in the late 1960s. Clee was very active in the Centerville community. She was an avid golfer and member of NCR Country Club, and an avid bridge player of 40 years. She dedicated her time as a substitute teacher for Centerville Schools. Clee even helped to start the International Women’s Flight Museum, and was an owner of Fair Exchange Jewelry Store for 25 years. Clee also had a deep appreciation for the Arts. She loved to read, write poetry, and was a season ticket holder for the Philharmonic.
With all the activities Clee took part in during her life, she touched a lot of lives and made a lot of good friends along the way.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Richard “Rick” Rhodus; sisters, Anna Roberta Moore, Delores Shirko, Avanel Newlon; and brother, Jack McCloud.
She is survived by her son, Russ Rhodus and his wife, Dr. Karyn Dyehouse; daughter, Roberta (Brian) Ewing; grandchildren, Nick Gray, Ashley Rhodus, Hanna Mohr, Raymond Rhodus, and Erica “Bunny” Mohr.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22 from 3:00-5:00pm at Routsong Centerville (81 N. Main Street). A service will follow, beginning at 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
