Conway Phillips
August 6, 1930 — May 9, 2003
PHILLIPS, Conway, age 72 of West Carrollton passed away, Friday, May 9, 2003. Phillip served in the United States Air Force from 1946-1947 after WWII, and had worked for the Carroll Wertz Tire Company. Preceded in death by his parents, Inman Arthur and Lucretia Phillips, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Peggy (Vowell); 2 daughters, Sharon Phillips of W. Carrollton and Mary Katherine and husband, Marshall of CA; 2 sons, Roger and wife Jenny Phillips of CA and Steven and wife Cathy Phillips of Farmersville, OH; 10 grandchildren, Lisa Edwards, Leslie Bates, Nichole Whitehead, Leah Rose, Samantha Phillips, Keith and Michael Salyers, Shawn Sanford, Robbie Phillips and Matt Rose; 4 great granddaughters, Ashley Salyers, Lauren Bates, Keeley Salyers and Deanna Sanford; and sister, Inzia Provenza of Knoxville, TN. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at 1:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Entombment in Woodland Mausoleum. Family will receive friends, Tuesday evening from 6-9:00 PM at the funeral home. Family may receive condolences via the website at www.routsong.com.
