Cynthia Ann Jacobs

August 20, 1957 — April 30, 2022

JACOBS, Cynthia Ann, "Cindy" (Porter), age 64, formerly from Oakwood passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Cindy was a graduate of Oakwood High School in 1975 and received her BA from The Ohio State University in 1979. Cindy was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority during her time at OSU.

Cindy's spirit was beautiful, big, bright, fun-loving, hilarious, smart, strong, brave, mischievous in the best ways possible and loving. She had many lifelong friends she cherished and many new friends she made along the way. Cindy was proud of her family, she loved her children, grandchildren and their spouses more than anything. Cindy was a sensitive soul, her superpower was spotting that in others and making them comfortable. Her gorgeous smile, distinguished and glorious laugh and convivial and jubilant presence lit up every room she entered.

Given more than her fair share of health challenges, she fought harder than a Spartan warrior, but her precious body and spirit were tired, she was ready for eternal rest, and to be in Heaven with family and friends who’ve gone before.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Dr. Dale and Judith Porter, sister Susan Porter Hermann and brother Dr. Thomas Dale Porter. Cindy is survived by her darling and courageous children, daughter Leslie Ann Jacobs Toole, son Daniel Allen Jacobs, son-in-law Christopher Toole, Jr., daughter-in-law Kate Haverland Jacobs, adored granddaughters Teddie Kathryn Toole and Ruby Emerson Jacobs, as well as her surviving siblings Scott Radford Porter and Lisa Plattenburg (James), and several very special and loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

In honor of Cindy’s arduous and valiant health journey, please consider donating to Bright Pink https://www.brightpink.org/donate, an organization geared towards helping and supporting women who are at high risk for developing breast and ovarian cancer. She will be greatly missed by all.
