David Bryant Emonin passed away Wednesday April 7, 2026 at Hospice of Dayton.
David was born Sept 13, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio to Helen and Emil Emonin. On June 30, 1962 he married Patricia Emonin and they had son David II in 1967.
David attended West Carrollton Schools. He started working in family business, Miami Battery until he had the opportunity to go to Florida. David, wife Pat, and son David II all packed up and went to work diligently in his pizza restaurants. In 1978, he moved back to Beavercreek and went to work in Montgomery County Purchasing Department. Through his work, he joined the Millwright Union for 12 years. During this time, he was offered an opportunity to build a spec house on his lot - and pay him when it sold.
David loved building and was soon off to a new career. He got financed through National City and formed partnerships to build in developments as David Emonin Builders, Inc. He held this career for 30+ years. He was also an accepted Mason in the West Carrolton Lodge #737, a 32° Scottish Rite, an Antioch Shriner, and in the Oriental Band for 65 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Emonin in 2002, Emil Emonin 1995, and brother William Emonin in 1982. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Patricia; son, David Emonin II, and three nephews William, Steven, and Douglas Emonin.
Friends and family will gather for visitation on Tuesday, April 14 from 10am-12pm at Routsong Funeral Home (2100 E. Stroop Rd), with a service to follow starting at 12pm.
