Kash, David, Michael, age 21 of Springboro, Ohio passed away on Saturday February 14th, 2026. He was a graduate of the Class of 2023 from Springboro High School. David was the proud owner of Checkmate Lawn and Landscaping, Inc. based in Springboro. David loved to play golf, boat on the Ohio River (he was the self-proclaimed Mayor of Ripley), be with friends and family and do about anything outside.
David is survived by his parents, Doug (Angie) and his loving Mother Lisa (who says David gave the best hugs), his brother (and best friend) Matthew (Mackenzie; future sister-in-law), Grandparents- Lee and Sharon Kash and his pride and joy Baxter the dog. He is also survived by countless family and friends. The support this community has shown has been overwhelming.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents-Fred and Marge Schenking.
On August 2nd, 2004, we were truly blessed with a beautiful baby boy. We got to enjoy 21 years of love, joy and laughter with him that will be forever treasured. David particularly enjoyed time he spent with his brother Matt and Mackenzie. David could light up any room. To know David was to love him. You have to understand...David did NOT know a stranger. He would talk to anybody. He had a real knack for meeting people and they instantly liked him. He was a hard worker who loved what he did. We know that he's in heaven but was taken from us too soon. But, God has a plan. We don't always know what it is...but HE has a plan. David was a Christian and read his Bible. We want all of David's friends to keep him close to your hearts forever. We want you to never forget him. But, most of all, we want to see each of you succeed in life. David would want that for you.
There will not be a funeral, as David will be cremated. We intend on scattering some of his ashes on the golf course and at the Ohio River from his boat on his birthday each and every year.
We are having a Celebration of Life for David on Saturday March 7th, 2026, from 1-6pm at the Yankee Trace Golf Club at 10000 Yankee St. in Centerville, Ohio 45459. We invite all of David's family and friends to join us in celebrating his wonderful life. We encourage everyone to bring your boots, stories and smiles.
We would like to thank everyone who has been so kind to our family in this time. We would also like to thank all of the First Responders who were so professional and kind in our time of need.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider a donation in his name, to the Salvation Army Kroc Center at 1000 N. Keowee St. in Dayton, Ohio.
