YARGER, David Lee, age 80, of Kettering, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021. David was born April 29, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Harold and Alta (Wolford) Yarger. He graduated from Kettering Fairmont high school and attended Sinclair College. After his education David enlisted in the military, and served his country for a total of 7 years in the Army as well as the Air National Guard. After his military career, he took a job at GM (later Delphi) as a machine repairman. He retired from Delphi after 38 years. Throughout his life David loved putting his repair skills to the test, and was always tinkering or helping his loved ones with projects. He had a passion for cars (Corvettes in particular), and loved watching NASCAR; but most of all David loved golfing. David was most at home outdoors whether he was walking along one of his favorite golf courses or enjoying happy hour in Sebring, FL where he would often stay for the winter. More than anything David was a family man, who always cherished the time he got to spend with his loved ones.
David is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Connie Yarger. He is survived by his significant other, Patsy Dano; children, Michael Yarger, Kevin (Leslie) Yarger, Christina (Jeff) Wilson, Amber (Russell) Tazelaar, and Timothy (Tiffany) Yarger; grandchildren, Bridgette (Shaun) Wasson, Ashley Yarger, Meagan (Cody) Steiner, Taylor Yarger, Kelsey Yarger Richard and Garret Tazelaar, Chloe Tomlin, Savanna Yarger; great-grandchildren, Oaklyn Steiner, Parker Steiner, and Amelia Leibengood, and numerous extended family, friends, and beloved dog Sophie.
