REYNOLDS, David W. age 87, of Centerville, OH, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025. David was born on June 16, 1938, to the late William and Marcella (nee Bates) Reynolds, in Ann Arbor, MI. At a young age his family moved to the Dayton area where he graduated from Oakwood High School before continuing his education at Wittenberg University. Following his education, David returned to the Dayton area where he would meet his loving wife of 67 years, Marjorie (nee Shoemaker) Reynolds. They met at a hayride one evening and the next thing you know, they were married 6 months later and started their family shortly after. He was self-employed his entire life and did various jobs with West Carrollton Building Supply, manufactured bow sights for archery, home remodeling, and anything that could be done with woodworking but specialized in picture framing.
David loved his family first, but he also had a love and passion for tractors and woodworking and was a devoted member to many different clubs/organizations. He was very active in Antioch Shrine and for 13 years he drove a Hillbilly Firetruck in local parades. Along with Antioch Shrine, he was a member of: Alpha Lodge 729, Royal Order of Jesters, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Antioch Gun Club, Antique Car Club, Past Patron of Dayton Victory Chapter 594 OES, Kentucky Colonels, Past President of Antioch Seniors, and Past President of West Carrollton Jaycees. He loved hosting picnics each year for many different organizations, and you could always count on him for a good story or a joke. David’s loving and caring spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, William “Bill” Reynolds; and sisters, Carolyn Greger and Barbara Martin.
David is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie Reynolds; daughter, Lorrie (Bob) Huser; son, Mike Reynolds; grandchildren, Emily (Daniel) Bragdon, Rob (Kara) Huser, and David (Olivia) Huser; great-grandchildren, Quinn and Wade Huser, Ellie and Charlie Bragdon, Eddie and Scottie Huser, and baby girl Huser due in December; along with numerous extended family and friends.
