Dennis Irvin Denlinger, age 81, passed away on November 25, 2023, in Edwardsville, Illinois. Born on July 15, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio, Dennis was the beloved son of Irvin and Margaret Denlinger.

Dennis spent his formative years in Kettering, Ohio, where he attended Fairmont High School, graduating with the class of 1960. He then pursued his passion for architecture at Carnagie Tech College, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. This marked the beginning of a remarkable career that would span several decades.

Throughout his career, Dennis was involved in numerous prestigious projects, contributing his expertise in the field of architecture and engineering. His meticulous attention to detail and innovative designs were evident in the multi-million dollar projects he undertook. His passion for architecture left a lasting impression on those that knew him.


Despite battling with nerve pain throughout his life, Dennis never lost his indomitable spirit. He developed his own treatment methods to manage the pain, which he generously shared with others through books he authored. His dedication to helping others and improving their quality of life exemplified his compassionate nature.

Dennis found solace and fulfillment as a devoted member of the Church of Scientology. His strong faith guided his actions, and he actively volunteered for the church, offering his time and expertise whenever they were needed. Dennis was a diligent learner and practitioner within the church, continually seeking to deepen his understanding of its teachings.

In later years, Dennis relocated to Illinois to be closer to his family. Dennis deeply valued the bonds of family, and his devotion to his loved ones was unwavering.

 

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents.

 

He is survived by his children, Ryan Denlinger and Lindsay Andersen; daughter-in-law, Xinlin Yu; son-in-law, William Andersen; grandchild, Alexander Yu; sister, Carol Todd; niece, Kris Kennedy; and other extended family and friends. 

A private funeral service to honor the life of Dennis Irvin Denlinger will be held. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at David’s Cemetery in Kettering, Ohio.
