Dennis R. Burcham

Dennis Burcham Age 81, passed away October 28, 2022.

He was born October 3, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Albert and Sarah Burcham. Surviving him are his two children, Pamela Burcham and Gregory Burcham.

He graduated from the University of Dayton and Belmont High School. Dennis was the Youth Director for the Columbus YMCA after graduating from UD. He was an investigator for Retail Credit (Equifax) in the early 70s. He owned and operated Dayton Pen Ruling until 1987. He finished his career as an automobiles salesman in Dayton before retiring. Dennis was also active Army in his late 1960s and then the Army Reserve.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas A. Burcham, Albert G. Burcham, Richard P. Burcham and his sister, Susan George. He is survived by his cousin, Sally Josefczyk, and numerous family members including a special niece, Diana Harrigan; three special nephews, Chris Burcham, Tom Burcham and Steve Burcham.

Dennis was known for his magnetic personality. He never met a stranger. There are many fond memories of him spending time with his family and friends. He was an active member of Indian Guides and Princess with his son and daughter while they were growing up. He played Santa for his nieces and nephews when they were young. No one can forget his magic tricks, fireworks displays, camping trips, or his snipe hunts. In many ways he was a kid at heart. Everyone will always remember “Uncle Denny”.

Dennis Burcham’s cremains will be inurned at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. A short inurnment ceremony will be held on Friday, November 11 at 1:00PM at Calvary Cemetery. His family and friends will have a Celebration of Life at Marion’s Piazza on Shroyer Road from 2:00PM - 5:00PM on December 11.
