Dorothy Callahan Miller

MILLER, Dorothy Callahan, age 97, of Centerville, formerly of Oakwood, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on January 6, 1925, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Raymond and Helen Bright Callahan. Dorothy graduated from Fairview High School and attended Sinclair College. Dorothy worked in retail and real estate and participated in many religious and charitable organizations. She took pride in being a Charter Member of Christ United Methodist Church in Kettering.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 66 years, Paul M. Miller, her aunt Dorothy Zimmerman, who raised her; sister and brother-in-law, Muriel, and Donald L. Coffey; brother-in-law and sister-in-law William B. and Jennie Miller; and nephew Richard W. Miller. Surviving Dorothy are daughters Sandra Mellis of Miamisburg, OH, Paula Russo of Oakwood; son Brian (Laura) Miller of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren Daniel and Elizabeth Russo and Andrew Miller; nieces and nephews Thomas L. (Margaret) Miller, Michael D. (Carol) Miller, Carolyn Miller (wife of Richard W. Miller), Donna L. (Dale) Aigner, Jill L. Coffey and Jack L. (Sandy) Coffey; and several great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 18 at Christ United Methodist Church, 3440 Shroyer Rd., Kettering. Family will greet friends one hour before the service. Burial will be held at New Carlisle Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Dayton and Graceworks at Home for all their care and compassion.
