Dorothy M Duff

Dorothy "Dottie" M. Duff, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, in her hometown of Oakwood, Ohio. Born on October 19, 1930, in Dayton, Ohio, Dottie exemplified warmth, kindness, and an unwavering spirit throughout her 95 remarkable years. A proud graduate of Oakwood High School, Dorothy continued her education at Miami University in Oxford, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in 1952. Her professional journey led her to a successful career as a credit manager in the retail industry, where she was known for her dedication and expertise. Dorothy was not only a devoted professional but also a passionate volunteer in her community. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings, engaging with the local PTA, and contributing her time as a reader at Oakwood Grade School. Her generous spirit and commitment to helping others left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her loving son, Thomas (Kimberly) Duff, and her cherished grandchildren: Johnathan, Emily, Sara, Connor, Riley Duff, and Caroline Hardie. Dottie also leaves behind her son-in-law, Jeffrey Hardie, and delightful great-grandchildren, Lee and Luka. Her legacy will continue through numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.

Dorothy was proceeded in death by her father, Casper May, mother Catherine Steiger and loving husband, Robert Duff.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 12:00 pm at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. Family will receive friends at St. Albert the Great from 11am-12pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Salvation Army.
