WEAVER, Edward C. “Big Ed”, age 75, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Born August 13, 1946 in Dayton, Ed graduated from Meadowdale High School. Big Ed worked tirelessly and supported his family laying carpet until starting his own carpet installation company which he proudly ran for over 30 years. He was quietly generous, helping anyone that he saw in need. Ed was always dedicated first to his family. His greatest joys in life were the birth of his children and grandchildren. He had a deep love of sports, always coaching and never missing his kids and grandkids events. Anyone at a game instantly got to know him and love him. An avid Browns fan, his wish was to see them win the Super Bowl. His dream was not realized, but he will continue to root for his beloved Browns in heaven.
Ed is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jane (Hatfield) Weaver; brother, Fred Schneider; sister-in-law, Mary Duff.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda; son, Ryan “Bubba” Weaver; daughter, Kasi (Greg) Edwards; grandson, Cade Westendorf; granddaughter, Carly Westendorf; brother, Bob Weaver; sisters-in-law, Gail Whitt, Nita Tignor, and Opal Allen; brother-in-law, Kenny Whitt, and many other relatives and friends.
