THORPE, Ella Mae, age 75 of Dayton, died Wednesday, August 23, 2000. Survived by her husband of 38 years, Gerald; 3 sons, Larry (Melinda) Ping of Cincinnati, Ron (Peg) Thorpe, Massillon, OH, and Steve Thorpe of Dayton; a daughter, Cheryl (David) Ernst of Aurora, IN; 5 grandchildren; Jimmy (Tina) Ping, Teresa Peck, Don Walters, Ron and Allyson Thorpe and Melanie and Tabb Lindeman; 6 great grandchildren, Josh, Myles, Lance, Haylee, J.J. and Justin; 4 sisters, Reda McEntee of Kettering, Pat Smith of Cincinnati, Betty Spencer of Beattyville, KY and Debbie Brown of NY; 1 brother, Lawrence Hall of Cincinnati; 2 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James and Jean Thorpe of Beavercreek and Willis and Lena Thorpe of Hudson, FL. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M, Saturday in the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, Ohio with Rev. L.O. Prossor officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 P.M., Friday in the funeral home.
