Frances L. Van Steenburgh

VAN STEENBURGH, Frances L. (Conway), age 88, of Dayton, passed away February 22, 2017. Born in Schenectady, NY, Frances graduated from Barnard College in 1951, and received a Master's degree in Education in 1968 from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She worked as a substitute teacher in the Oakwood and Kettering School districts. Frances was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Oakwood, OH, and had resided at Bethany Lutheran Village since 1999. She was a long-time volunteer with the League of Women Voters. Preceded in death by her husband Russell, sister; Virginia and brother; Frank. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Russ and Heather Van Steenburgh, and daughter Robin. A memorial service will be held at Bethany Village in the Grand Room on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 4007 Main St., Buffalo, NY 14226.
