Frances Mae Borgert

BORGERT, Frances Mae, who shared with her family a never-ending sense of decency, kindness and humor, died December 11, 2005 from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease. A Dayton native, Fran attended St. Mary’s Elementary School and graduated from Julienne High School. Prior to her marriage to Val Borgert, a union that continued for 57 years until his death in 2003, Fran worked at Buckeye Tool Company. In addition to her many years as a homemaker, Fran volunteered with several area charities. She took part in programs designed to brighten the days for patients at the former Dayton State Hospital. Fran also was recognized with a 20-Year Service Award by Womanline of Dayton, a non-profit provider of counseling and other support for women victimized by abuse and trauma. She is survived by six children; daughters, and spouses, Valerie and David Senkowski of Centerville; Joan and Richard Rammel, and Beth and John Yablonski, all of Columbus; sons and spouses, Randall and Karen Borgert, Matthew Borgert, all of Centerville; and Nicholas and Christine Borgert of Charlotte, NC, 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Preceded in death by grandson, Curt Rammel and sister, Charlene Wiesbecker. Fran is also survived by two sisters in the Dayton area: Betty Holloran and Mary Kiser. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 from 5-7:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1:00 PM Thursday, December 15, 2005. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
