Gloria J. Lamb

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gloria Jean Lamb, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, who resided in Kettering, Ohio. Gloria departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering faith that will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. Gloria dedicated her life to caring for others, selflessly tending to their homes with remarkable devotion and attention to detail. Her gentle spirit and nurturing nature made every space she entered feel warm and inviting, a reflection of her caring personality. Gloria’s love for others was only exceeded by her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with whom she now forever rests. She endeavored to live by trusting in the Lord with all her heart (Proverbs 3:5-6) and in that regard was continuously encouraging those around her to “keep looking up!” She leaves behind her devoted son, Paul, her daughter in law Julie, and her loving grand-daughters, Katrina, Alexandra, and Rachel, who were her pride and joy. Gloria also leaves behind her beloved son Jeff. Their memories together will continue to inspire and uplift the family. Gloria had a strong, self-sacrificing work ethic and raised her 2 sons as a single mom, starting from early elementary school age and extending through high school by taking on any work that she could find – often factory work – in the 1970’s/1980’s Dayton/Kettering area. Sometimes she worked multiple jobs to support her family and make ends meet. After her kids had left home, Gloria supported herself and her community by working the phone lines for a popular women’s clothing business and finally running her own house cleaning business. In all of her work and interactions Gloria sought to consider and treat others as better than herself, as an act of devotion to Jesus and inspired by Philipians 2:3.

In honor of Gloria's life and the love she shared, private services will be held for family only. During these moments, they will gather to reflect on her remarkable journey, celebrate the joy she brought into their lives, and cherish the memories that will remain forever in their hearts. Gloria Jean Lamb will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those she loved. We remember her not only for her kindness and dedication but also for the warmth she radiated in all her interactions. May she rest in eternal peace.
