Long time Daytonian, Harry Glascock, son of the late Katherine and Eugene Glascock, passed away at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Verona (Stoppelman) Glascock, daughters Leslie Glascock (Scott Hicks), Andrea Haschart (Gary), granddaughter Dana Haschart, sisters Linda Katz (Phil), Donna Berner, Carol Gebhart (Jon). Harry’s brother, Boyd Glascock, preceded him in death.
Harry graduated from Fairmont High School in 1959. He spent his career working at NCR and General Motors (Delco / Delphi) in the areas of tool and die and manufacturing engineering. He described both places as wonderful places to work. He loved perfection and solving complex problems. Outside of work he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, family vacations, working on projects in his garage, collecting and restoring Jaguar’s and Corvette’s, attending doll conventions with Verona, going to the Indianapolis 500, and converting cars to run on vegetable oil! He will be remembered by family and friends as the man who could fix anything and often worked on projects for others before his own. Visitation to be held Wednesday May 14 2025 from 11am until noon and a memorial service at noon at Routsong funeral home Kettering (2100 E Stroop Rd). Celebration of life to follow.
Harry was a kind, caring and generous person. In lieu of flowers or donations please pay it forward and think of Harry when you do.
