STUDEBAKER, Hazel A., beloved wife, mother and grandmother, of Kettering, OH passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2009. Hazel was born in Portland, IN Sept. 9, 1913, daughter of James and Melissa (Middleton) Arnett, and stepmother, Ollie Belle, after the death of her mother. She grew up and attended school in Union City, IN, and moved to Dayton in 1942. Hazel retired from Frigidaire Div. of G.M. with over 35 years of service, and spent much of her retirement traveling, quilting and doing volunteer work. She was a past member of A.B.W.A. and D.A.R. and a long time member of Center for Spiritual Living Church of Greater Datyon, OH. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William, in 1972 and granddaughter, Valerie Rae Rife. Hazel is survived by her children, Barbara (Dale) Siler of Kettering and Ron (Shirley) Studebaker of Dayton, OH; four grandchildren, Gary (Lora) Siler of Beavercreek, Greg Siler of Kettering, Tara (Jim) Spalla of Columbus, Leslie (Eric) Dobbins of Monroe, N.C.; two step-grandchildren, Eric (Shelly) Helser of Dayton and Amy (Johnie) Booth of Dayton; 12 great-grandchildren and one niece, Juanita Bennett of Indianapolis, IN. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 11:00AM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH with Rev. C.C. Coltrain and Rev. Eunice Chalfaut officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
