Helen Caroline Pleimann (Hunkeler)

PLEIMANN, HELEN CAROLINE, 97, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 14, 2018. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on January 11, 1921 to Helen and Leo Hunkeler. Helen was the loving wife of Norman J. Pleimann for 53 years. He preceded her in death in 1999. Helen was the mother of Rose Marie (Dennis) Nerderman, David Pleimann, Norma Jean (Gary) Davis, Dale (Sue) Pleimann, and Cheryl Ann (Mike) Luthman. She had 11 grandchildren, Scott Nerderman, Stacie (John) Scarpelli, Nicole Nerderman, Matthew (Sarrah) Davis, Kevin (Allison) Davis, Jeanette (Howie) Moran, Amy (Jason) Schondelmyer, Angie (Brian) Sprada, Jason Luthman, Adam Luthman, and Jenna Luthman. Helen was blessed with 15 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Leo J. Hunkeler and preceded in death by 7 siblings; Rose Marie Wright, Robert Hunkeler, Reverend Edward Hunkeler, Catherine Louise Schulkers, Mary Margaret Brown, Anne Elizabeth Hunkeler and Ruth Agnes Tyree. Her greatest joy was to be surrounded by family and friends. She never passed up an opportunity to enjoy life and loved to tease her family and be teased in return. Helen was a great role model for all. She brought comfort, joy and happiness to everyone she met. She will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends and relatives at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E Stroop Road, Friday from 4:00-7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Incarnation, 55 Williamsburg Lane, Saturday, January 20 at 10:30 a.m. Final resting place at Calvary Cemetery.
