Franklin

MILLER, Helen Kay, age 73, of Franklin, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024.

Kay was born December 14, 1950 in Ages, KY to the late Charles McKinney and Elizabeth (Boggs) Dillinger. After moving to Ohio, she attended Franklin High School, graduating in 1968. Kay met Albert, and they enjoyed 54 wonderful years of marriage together. She devoted her life to her family and worked tirelessly to raise her children and care for her husband. Kay was the glue that held her family together, always making time for her kids and grandkids.

She was strong in her faith and loved the Lord deeply. Kay’s daily devotionals came in the form of Southern Gospel Music, and she drew strength and comfort from these songs. She adored animals and made it her mission to rescue cats and take them to get spayed or neutered. Kay was a provider, whether it was slipping her grandkids money or cooking delicious pies, she always made sure her loved ones were taken care of. A southern girl at heart, she loved to travel to the Smoky Mountains, and she would often take her daughter on day trips to Dollywood. She loved to work and was a loved team member of Wal-Mart in Franklin for many years. A strong woman who loved with all her heart, Kay will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memories are her devoted husband, Albert “Bill” Miller; children, William “Billy” (Amanda) Miller, and Elizabeth “Danielle” (Matt) Carner; grandchildren, Katie, Derek, Kenden, and Landan; sister, Leona Tackett; beloved dogs, Jojo and Lacy, and many cats.

Family will greet friends from 3:00PM-5:00PM Friday, June 7 at Landmark Apostolic Church, 118 W. 8th St., Franklin. Kay’s Homecoming Services will begin at 5:00PM at the church.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Landmark Apostolic Church as well as Pastor Stephen and Shirley Carson for their love and care of Kay. Memorial contributions may be made in Kay’s name to Ohio Alleycat Resource (OAR), 5619 Orlando Place, Cincinnati, OH 45227.
