Helen R. Dorn

DORN, Helen R., age 84, of Miamisburg, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2005 at Sycamore Hospital. Helen was a 1938 graduate of Roosevelt High School. She was a long time member and secretary for the former Epworth Methodist Church. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Earl and Bessie Shock; 3 brothers, Ralph, Robert and Paul Shock; and 1 sister, Hazel Barnes. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, John ”Joe” Dorn, Sr.; 2 daughters, Linda (Pete) Sugden of Vandalia, OH and Lora (Ron) Murphy of Wilmington, OH; 1 son, John (Lynne) Dorn, Jr. of Bellbrook; 6 grandchildren, Shawn (Amy) Sugden, Libby (Charles) Kimsey, Lukas and Molly Murphy, Cpt. Jim Dorn and Janae (Michael) Corbett; 8 great granddaughters, Ashley, Megan, Allison and Jillian Sugden, Sara and Savannah Kimsey, and Bryn and Kaya Corbett. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 13th at 10:00 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Burial in Bellbrook Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
