James Franklin Glavic

GLAVIC, James F., age 81, of Kettering, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday June 23, 2022.

He was a graduate of Cathedral Latin High School (Cleveland) in 1959 and received his B.A. from Kent State University in 1964. Jim was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. He worked for Mead Paper for 20 years, from which he happily retired early in 1999. He enjoyed this retirement by traveling, working in the yard, and visiting with and entertaining friends and family.

Preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Mary Glavic; parents, Al and Frances Glavic; brothers, Del, Joe, and Alan Glavic, and sister, Sue Pound. He is survived by his daughter, Lucy Seifert and her husband, Pete; his son, Patrick Glavic and his wife, Glenda; grandsons, Timothy and Andrew Seifert; granddaughters, Ellen Seifert, and Colleen and Sally Glavic; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Albert the Great Church on Thursday, June 30, 2022 with burial in David’s Cemetery immediately following.
