Jill Leslie Spencer

Jill passed away peacefully on September 23, 2026, at the age of 71.

Throughout her life, she faced many challenges with strength, grace, and resilience. Though she spent much of her life in a nursing care setting, her world was enriched by the friendships she formed, the caregivers who supported her, and the family who loved her.

She will be remembered for her warm smile and sense of humor she shared with those around her. Her life was a testament to perseverance and the importance of human connection. She touched the lives of many who had the privilege of knowing her.

Above all, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her family will cherish the moments spent with her.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristian (Andy) Scarpitti and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Jane Schimmel and sister, Jane Miller.

While we grieve her loss, we also celebrate her life. May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who mourn her passing.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Routsong Funeral Home in Kettering (2100 E. Stroop Rd.) on Wednesday, September 30, from 10:00am-noon. Words of remembrance will be delivered at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
