age 77, and beloved husband of Barbara A. Duckro of 55 years, passed away Friday, April 23, 2004 in Jacksonville, FL. John was born in Dayton, May 17, 1926. For over 45 years John was a homebuilder and land developer in Dayton. Most of the sub-divisions he developed and the homes he built were in Washington Twp. John was an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Dayton Home Builders Association, member of the Spring Run Trout Farm for over 30 years and a 25 year member of Sycamore Creek Country Club. For the past 10 years, John and his wife, Barbara have resided in Naples, FL. John is survived his loving wife, Barbara A. Duckro of Naples, FL; sons, John E. (Betsy) Duckro, Jr., and Scott I. (Betsy) Duckro; grandchildren, Chad John E. III, Jordin E., Marci A., Nichole E., Zachary S., and Andrew R. Duckro; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville, with Dr. Robert H. Wade officiating. Burial in David’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn., 24 N. Jefferson, Dayton, OH 45402.
