GOTTSCHALK, John Charles, age 88, of Centerville, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026. 

John was born September 1, 1937 in Somerville, NJ to the late John Henry and Mildred (Mikaden) Gottschalk. He worked at NCR as a machinist for 17 years, and then at Delco Products for 20 years. John proudly served in the Army. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara, and his brother, William Gottschalk. Left to cherish his memory are his children, John (Patricia) and Hans Gottschalk; grandchildren, Evan, Aiden, Jack, Nathan, Lauren, and Noah Gottschalk; brother, Steve Gottschalk; and John’s beloved dog, Bear. 

Family will greet friends Friday, May 15 from 10:30am-12:00pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Funeral Services will begin at 12:00pm at the funeral home. John will be laid to rest in Beavertown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SICSA Pet Adoption and Wellness Center.
