John H. Lapp

LAPP, John H., of Centerville, OH, passed away September 20, 2024 at the age of 89. John is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marlene (O’Neal) Lapp; son and his wife, Brian and Andrea; grandson Tanner and granddaughter Megan. He loved them very much. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Ruth O’Neal and Sharon O’Neal, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by son, Kevin Lapp and brother-in-law, Larry O’Neal.

John is a U.S. Air Force veteran and member of American Legion Post 598. He retired from Wright-Patterson AFB after a 35-year career, completing his career as the Program Manager for the SCADC Program. Following his retirement in 1992, John enjoyed golf, travel, his family and friends, being a grandparent and serving as Mayor of the Cul-de-Sac.

We will love and miss him always.

Family will greet friends Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 10:30am at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers or Hospice of Dayton.
