John Paul Cookson

COOKSON, John P., age 76, of Kettering, passed away Friday, June 20, 2003 at Kettering Medical Center. John was a member of South Park United Methodist Church. He retired from Delco after 51 years of service and was a volunteer for Kettering City Schools. Preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Lorraine Hatton and her husband Kearny. Survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Rita (Bramlage) Cookson; 2 daughters, Barbara S. (Andrew) Merritts of Beavercreek and Cheryl (David) Apgar of TX; 3 sons, Curtis Cookson of Kettering, Jeffrey Cookson of Dayton and William (Pamela) Shedden of TX; brother, Clarence B. (Arlene) Cookson of RI; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren and 11 step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at 1:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
