John Raymond Wysong

WYSONG, John Jack Raymond, age 74, of Centerville, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018. John was born on July 2, 1943 in Dayton, OH to Leonard and Rita Wysong. He graduated from Patterson Co-Op High School and earned both his undergraduate and Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Management from the University of Dayton. Jack worked for the Miamisburg Mound until his retirement in 1995. Following retirement, he delivered flowers for Continental Florist and then Unique Designs. Jack also worked as a substitute aide for special needs students for Centerville City Schools. He was a member of the Church of the Incarnation since 1970. Jack enjoyed traveling to St. Simons Island in Georgia with his wife and family for over 20 years. He also took pride in being the biggest fan at all of his grandchildrens sporting events. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Weaver; brother, Thomas E. Wysong; sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Wysong and Patricia Wysong; and nephew, Anthony Hecker. He is survived by his love of 50 years, his wife Diane; children, Lisa Weaver, Mark (Jennifer) Wysong, and Angela (Kevin) Smith; grandchildren, Jonathan (Emily), Krista, Miranda, Nicholas, Victoria, Erika, Benjamin, Jessica, Olivia, and Julia Weaver; Daniel Wysong; and Owen, Alexander, and Andrew Smith; great-grandchildren, Marley, Dawson, and Willow; brother, Jerome Wysong; sisters, Barbara Hecker, Mary Bauer, and Kathryn (Eric) Wiford; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville. The family would like to thank the kind staff at both Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties and the Kettering Cancer Center for the dedicated care they gave to Jack.
