Jon "Timothy" Wendler of Kettering, Ohio passed away on January 12, 2026. He was 74 years old. Tim, as he was known by family and friends, was survived by his sister Julie Dameron of Greensboro, North Carolina, his daughter Emily Byrne (Wendler) of Oklahoma City and his grandson, Benjamin. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Shelia and his second wife, Anne.

Tim was born in High Point, North Carolina in 1951 to Vern and Adelaide Wendler. In his early 20s, he sold skis out of a van in Colorado until his father told him to get a real job. In 1977 he began working for PPG, selling car paint and glass until 2007. With his friendly personality, he made many friends in the industry throughout those 40 years.

Tim will be remembered for his jovial demeanor, his love of golf, his support for Alabama football, and his love for his daughter, Emily and his grandson, "Benjammin". He is buried in David's Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
