age 79, of Kettering passed away Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Dayton VA Hospital. Joe was very active in VFW #9927 and the American Legion #598. He was a veteran of WWII. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Emmanuel and Ella Groff; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Dolores; daughter, Cecilia (Michael) Proffitt of Dayton; 2 grandchildren, Morgan and Chloe Proffitt; and 1 brother and 5 sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 2, 2007 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville, OH. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
