Judy Ann Tilliss

TILLISS, Judy Ann, age 78, of Centerville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 10, 2025. Born September 18, 1946, in Troy, Ohio, Judy was the daughter of the late William and Sarah (Nicodemus) Harman.

Judy built a successful career as a credit manager with BF Goodrich, working in Troy, Akron, and later Bloomington, Indiana. Later in life, she met her soulmate, Herbert Tilliss. Together they shared ten wonderful years of marriage, running a bookkeeping business in Florida and traveling across Europe—staying at the foot of the French Alps and exploring the Netherlands. Paris was her favorite city, and they lived the kind of life most only dream about.

Stylish and spirited, Judy never left home without a designer handbag and could often be seen cruising around in her signature candy red Miata. She embraced each moment—whether it was enjoying a glass of wine and good conversation, preparing a favorite meal, or spending time with loved ones.

A woman of many passions, Judy was an avid golfer, a dedicated angler, and a lifelong fan of murder mysteries. She also gave back to her community—serving as chairperson for Safe Place, a domestic violence shelter, and volunteering with her daughter Janet in 100+ Women of Greene County, raising funds for local charities.

Judy will be remembered for her strength, independence, warmth, and generous heart. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Herb, and her sister-in-law Joann Harman.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Robert) Noss; grandchildren, Rob (Ashley) Noss and Ben Noss; great-granddaughter, Eliana Rose Noss; and brother, John Harman.

Services in the care of Routsong Funeral Home, Centerville. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 19 at the Clubhouse of Dogwood Commons from 2 pm to 4 pm in Centerville.
