Karen L. Shackelford

SHACKELFORD, Karen Lynn (Gengler) “Boober”, age 55, of West Carrollton, passed away on June 17, 2019 at home following a lengthy illness.

Karen was born on May 8, 1964 in Dayton, OH.

She was preceded in death by her mom, Bebe Sue Gengler (Bogan) “Gran”; dad, James R. Gengler “Papa”; sister, Debbie Bowman.

Karen is survived by her children, Jennifer (Doug) Back; Jeremy Foster; granddaughter, Kylee Sue Kaminski; loving companion, Harold Shackelford; siblings, Chris (Betty) Gengler, Connie (Gary) Maloney, Robyn (Rex) Heeter, Jeff Gengler, Steve (Alice) Gengler, Tammy Whitaker, Scott (Effie) Gengler; brother-in-law, Wayne Bowman; and special friends, Jim Kaminski and Eileen Kaminski.

Karen was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family and friends. A special thank you to the staff at Hospice of the Miami Valley for all their support over the past year. Family will greet friends 10-11am on Thursday, June 20 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E Stroop Rd, Kettering with a Funeral Service beginning at 11am. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
