Kathryn C. Loar

LOAR, Kathryn C. age 94, of Oakwood, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018.

She was a member of South Park United Methodist Church previously in Dayton OH. Kathryn was an avid lover of travel, her family, gardening and teaching. She received her Bachelors Degree in business administration from the University of Cincinnati in 1947 and a Masters Degree in education from Xavier University. Kathryn taught at Eastmont Elementary School and other schools in the Dayton school system for 31 years.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Jesse M. Loar. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Dr. Linda and Dr. Jerry Heflin, of Stephenville, TX; two sons and two daughters-in-law: Larry and Linda Loar, Steven Loar and Suzanne Parkey, all of Cincinnati; four grandchildren, Jason (Courtney) Loar, Lindsay (Taylor) Morgan, Allison and Andrew Heflin; and four great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday, November 16 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM following the visitation at the funeral home. Burial in Davids Cemetery.
