Kathy Ann Shaw

SHAW, Kathy Ann, age 69, of Waynesville, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025. 

Kathy was born March 26, 1956 to Charles James and Marilyn Shaw. A highly intelligent and driven woman, she worked as a mortgage banker, assisting numerous people in obtaining home, construction, and commercial loans. Kathy was a hard worker who started from the bottom and rose to the top. She was incredibly business savvy, and if she wanted something done, she made it happen. Kathy was always on the move, seeing what the world had to offer. Her journeys took her to Europe and Australia, amongst other places. She was excellent at reading people, and always held a spot in her heart for the dogs she loved over the years. Kathy was a bright light and a beautiful soul who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Donovan; father, Charles James Shaw; and brother, Michael Shaw. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Marilyn Shaw; sister, Barbara (Dave) Henkaline; nephew, Bryan Shaw, and numerous beloved friends. 

Family will greet friends Tuesday, September 9 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Kathy will be laid to rest in David’s Cemetery. For those unable to attend, Funeral Services will be live-streamed on Routsong Funeral Home’s YouTube page.
