Kyle Theodore Katzenbach

KATZENBACH, Kyle Theodore, age 67, of Kettering, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025. 

Kyle was born May 19, 1958 to the late George and Connie (Burks) Katzenbach. A graduate of Meadowdale High School in 1976, he enlisted in the Navy following graduation. Kyle then went on to receive his HVAC certification and began a career in maintenance for local apartment complexes. In 1996, he married the love of his life, Cynthia, and together they enjoyed 29 years of marriage. Kyle was an avid Ohio State and Bengals fan, but his true love was racing. Whether it was Formula 1 or NASCAR, he looked forward to watching the race. Kyle and Cindy spent many days at various racetracks around the country. He had a big heart for his family and for animals, especially his dogs Daisy and Maggie. Kyle was a kind and caring person who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Katzenbach. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cindy Katzenbach; sons, Kyle M. Katzenbach, Ryan Katzenbach, and Adam Lambert; siblings, Shawn (Robin) Katzenbach, Tonya (Fred) Katzenbach, Dawn Donahue, and Dorothy (Norman) Slover, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Family will greet friends Monday, August 18 from 10:00am-11:30am at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Funeral Services will begin at 11:30am at the funeral home. Kyle will be laid to rest in Willow View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Kyle’s name to the American Lung Association, Donation Processing Center, PO Box 70360 Philadelphia, PA 19176-0360.
