Linda Marlane Giovenco

Linda Marlane Giovenco, age 80, of Centerville, OH, went to be home with the Lord on August 28, 2026. She was born in September of 1945 in Latrobe, PA, to the late Daniel and Anna Constantine. Linda grew up in Jeanette, PA and went on to attend college at the California University of Pennsylvania, earning her B.S. in Education. It was there that she met and fell in love with her future husband, Peter Giovenco, later marrying in 1968. Together they moved to Wexford, PA where they started their family, and Linda began her long career in education - starting as an early education teacher and concluding as the Director of Perry Highway Lutheran Pre-Kindergarten. Upon retirement, Linda and Peter moved to Centerville, OH.

Linda and Peter were fond of traveling together and shared many wonderful experiences exploring the numerous destinations they visited. Linda loved her family above all else, and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She also enjoyed the company of many friends, sharing good times at book clubs, luncheons, and dinners. In her free time, Linda enjoyed taking walks, sewing, playing the piano, and reading. Linda’s enthusiasm and positivity in life, as well as her sincere and caring spirit, will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Peter Giovenco; daughters, Lisa (Eric) Gearhart and Lynn (Andrew) Rochon; grandchildren, Matthew, Katherine, and Anna Gearhart; sister, Susan (Jeffrey) Wolgemuth; and numerous extended family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 3rd at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Parish (9579 Yankee Rd, Springboro, OH 45066) with the family greeting friends from 9:30-10:00 a.m. A private family graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, immediately following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Lustgarten Foundation, the largest private funder of pancreatic cancer research in the world.
