In Loving Memory of Linda Ann Ringels

March 23, 1953 - January 4, 2024

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Linda Ann Ringels, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born in Boston, Massachusetts to Earl Costa and Mary Canto, Linda's journey on Earth came to a close on January 4, 2024, at the age of 70.

Throughout her life, Linda devoted herself to a career in the healthcare industry as a compassionate nursing assistant. Her gentle touch and caring nature brought comfort to countless patients and their families. Linda's work was not just a job, but a calling that she fulfilled with utmost dedication and love.

Though her formal education did not extend beyond the 8th grade, Linda possessed wisdom and kindness that surpassed any qualifications. She understood the importance of being there for others, offering support and solace during the toughest of times. Her genuine empathy and unwavering commitment to her profession earned her respect and admiration from all who knew her.

Family was the cornerstone of Linda's life, and she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Her daughter, Leiko Watlington, held an irreplaceable place in her heart. Together, they shared countless memories, embarking on weekend adventures and finding joy in the simple pleasures life had to offer. Linda's love for Motown music and dancing to the rhythm of the beat brought warmth to the hearts of those who witnessed her infectious enthusiasm.

During quiet moments, Linda found solace in indulging in some of her favorite TV shows, from the gripping tales of "Law and Order" to the hilarious antics of the "Golden Girls." She had an uncanny knack for solving puzzles on "Wheel of Fortune," and any show hosted by the charismatic Steve Harvey never failed to brighten her day.

As a great-grandmother to young Promise Harleigh Watlington, Linda experienced pure joy and delight. Watching Promise grow and flourish filled her heart with immense happiness, realizing the generational love that thrived within her family.

Linda will forever be remembered and cherished by her loved ones. She is survived by her daughter, Leiko Watlington, her grandsons Demetrius, Draven, Logan, and Journey, her delightful great-granddaughter, Promise, and her siblings James, William, Paul, and Sheila.

In honor of Linda's vibrant spirit and remarkable life, a celebratory service will be held at a later date in her hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. It will be a time for family and friends to gather, sharing stories, laughter, and tears as they pay tribute to a woman whose love and kindness touched the lives of so many.

As we bid farewell to our dear Linda, let us take solace in knowing that the memories we hold dear will forever fill our hearts with love and gratitude. May her spirit soar to eternal peace, and may her light continue to shine brightly in our lives.

Rest in eternal peace, dear Linda. You will be deeply missed, but your legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing you.
