Linda L. Weaver

Sep 11, 1947 — Oct 2, 2026

Centerville

Weaver (Sewell), Linda, Age 79, of Centerville, OH, passed on Friday, October 2, 2026.

She was born on September 11, 1947, in Jackson, KY, to the late Granville and Thelma Sewell.

Linda spent her early years building a career in sales at Texas Instruments, later moving into other companies and roles. Her kids still remember the magic of getting early access to Speak & Spell toys and calculators — a small perk of having a mom in tech before tech was cool. But anyone who knew her understood that work was never her priority. Her heart was always with her family. She loved them fiercely and unconditionally.

Her greatest joy in life was becoming a mother, and later a grandmother. She adored her sisters, never met a plate of biscuits and gravy — especially at Cracker Barrel — that she didn’t love, and could wander HomeGoods like it was a sanctuary. She had a soft spot for slot machines, reality TV, and keeping up with politics, and she always had something to say about whatever was happening in the world. “Nan” loved watching her children and grandchildren grow into themselves. And her fashion? Impeccable. No one rocked shoulder pads in the 80s with more confidence or flair.

Linda was a fighter in every sense of the word. She was feisty, strong-willed, and determined, with absolutely no quit in her. When Linda set her mind to something, there was very little that could stand in her way. That spirit carried her through life and became one of the many things her family admired most about her.

Linda made every person who walked into her home feel loved, seen, and welcomed. She was a mother figure to many more than just her own children. Together with Ed, she created the kind of home people gravitated toward — full of laughter, warmth, and always a game on TV. It was a place where you felt taken care of without needing to ask.

She will be missed more deeply than words can hold.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ed; her sisters, Mary Duff, Nita Tignor, and Opal Allen; brother-in-law, Kenny Whitt; and son-in-law, Greg Edwards; and her parents.

She is survived by her son, Ryan “Bubba” Weaver; daughter, Kasi Edwards; grandson, Cade Westendorf; granddaughter, Carly Westendorf; sister, Gail Whitt; and many other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5-7pm, on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH 45429, with a funeral service to follow at 7pm. Linda will be laid to rest next to Ed at David’s Cemetery in Kettering, at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
